Gilberto Bellino was born in Turin (Italy) and graduated “cum laude” at Institute of Architecture of Venice (2002).

 

After wining a scholarship in Holland (TUE Eindhoven) and US (IIT Chicago), he got his first job as Assistant Researcher at Research Institute IVALSA-CNR (Italy) where he specialized in timber construction and wood building products.

From 2004 he is registered and works freelance for several offices and has gained experience in different projects and building-programs.

In the last years  he was mainly involved in museological and museographic projects: he participated to the Expo 2010 (Shanghai, China) and Expo 2015 (Milan, Italy).

 

He has also had outstanding achievements in a number of competitions, for example in pre-selection to the Europan 8 (Kirkeness, Norway), an honorable mention in “Intermediae – Expansion of Prado Museum of Madrid and a first price in “Restoration of the city center of Torraca” (Italy).

 

At the moment Gilberto lives and works in Barcelona.
